The Gladiator Course varies from event to event.
Gladiator Assault Challenge is the Midwest's premier test of endurance, speed, agility, strength, and mental stamina. The Gladiator Assault Challenge obstacle course is a series of 30+ physically challenging obstacles (some natural and some man-made) that individuals or teams must navigate. The 5 to 7 mile course will challenge you with running, climbing, jumping, crawling and balancing elements with the aim of testing overall endurance.
Options within the Gladiator Assault Challenge are the 5K Charge and the Junior/Parent Gladiator Challenge. This obstacle course is a condensed version of the Gladiator Assault Challenge consisting of a series of 20 to 30 physically challenging obstacles (some natural and some man-made) that can be navigated as an individual or team. The 3 plus mile course will still challenge you with running, climbing, jumping, crawling and balancing elements with the aim of testing overall endurance.

GAC uses electronic RFID timing chips to ensure accurate timing as you master one of the Gladiator Assault Challenge courses. The timing chip will be attached to your shoe. The timing chips and actual timing is provided by True Time Racing Services LLC. Your times will be collected at the start and finish areas and maybe a few spots in between. Timing chips are handed out on race day and MUST be returned at the finish line. We will have volunteers at the finish line to help you remove the timing chip from your shoe. A $30 fee is charged for lost timing chips.
Results will be available immediately after you finish and displayed on TV monitors near the finish area. Results will also be available live on the internet. We will send out the link prior to race day so you can share it with your family and friends.
Finish Line Video
We will have video of you finishing the course! The finish line video is linked to your timing chip so it is very important to make sure you finish the course with your chip still attached to your shoe. The video is normally available around one week after race day. This video is free to you and we encourage you to share it on social media with your family and friends.
Sorry, NO refunds, NO transfers, NO exceptions.
Can I Skip an Obstacle Because I Don't Feel Confident?
Yes, GAC asks that each participant makes their own personal risk assessment before each obstacle. GAC is all about having fun, testing your skills & limits, and camaraderie with fellow Gladiators. Each obstacle will test different mental and physical skills and there is no penalty for skipping an obstacle.

Race Day Information
The race is held rain or shine - the more rain the more mud and the more fun it is! All weather decisions are made by GAC on-site staff. NO REFUNDS for inclement weather or if severe weather does not allow the event to be held.
- You must understand and acknowledge that the Gladiator Assault Challenge is a grueling, difficult, and dangerous obstacle course and accept the risks associated therewith.

What to bring
Camera, towel and change of clothes, cash to buy merchandise, food and beverages.
Packet Pickup will be available at the race site on race day ONLY. Once on site, please proceed to the Registration Tents at least one hour prior to your start time to pickup your registration packet. A photo ID is required to pick up your race packet.
Be sure to allow enough time to check in (i.e. Parking, Packet Pickup, Bag Drop, Hike to Start, etc) before your start time. We recommend participants arrive AT LEAST ONE HOUR before their start time.
An uncovered Bag Area will be available at each race site to store your bag. It is a self-service area so do not store any valuables in your bags! Gladiator Assault Challenge, it's affiliates, host sites, employees and volunteers are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Lightweight layers based on the outdoor temperature are recommended. Fast drying and breathable fabrics are a must - you will be submerged in cold water several times! Some Gladiators wear gloves or tape to protect their hands. Avoid cotton which absorbs moisture and mud. Athletic shoes should fit snug so you don't lose one in the deep mud partway through the course (duct tape around the shoes can help with this). Bring WARM clothes to change into after the race. Long pants and Long sleeves that can get dirty (sweats work best).
During the event there will be water stations setup approximately every 1.5 miles along the course (can be longer depending on course). Water and fruit will be available after you cross the finish line. Plan ahead and bring a hydration system and/or energy supplements (bars/gels) if you think you will need them.
Showers / Changing Areas / Bathrooms
GAC will have cold showers, bathrooms, and changing tents available to rinse off and change at each event. They will be located near the finish chute. There's a good chance you will be very dirty!
